Giorgos Filippakis

Giorgos is experienced in the fields of financial regulation, commercial law, and M&A transactions. He provides guidance and legal advice regarding the establishment and day-to-day operation of regulated entities, with a particular focus on credit institutions, investment firms, and payment institutions.

Giorgos is an Associate specializing in banking law and financial services regulation, advising regulated entities on a wide spectrum of topics, including regulatory compliance, licensing, transactional matters, as well as dispute resolution.

Giorgos holds an LL.B. from the Democritus University of Thrace (Faculty of Law, 2017, Valedictorian) and an LL.M. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Faculty of Law) in Corporate Law and Finance (2019).

He has been a member of the Rhodes Bar Association since 2019. Before joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership in 2022, Giorgos worked as an associate lawyer at a highly esteemed boutique law firm in Athens.
